What is Male Infertility?

Male infertility refers to any condition in which the man is unable to achieve a pregnancy with a fertile female partner. Surprisingly, a male factor is present in about 40-50% of infertile couples. There are many known causes of male infertility, but the problem is typically due to the man being unable to produce or deliver fully functioning sperm. A proper evaluation and diagnosis by a trained urologist is necessary to identify the most appropriate course of treatment.
